Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work
Licensed by the Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW)
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the acute adult mental health field
Two (2) years of work experience in the behavioral health field
Required CPI upon hire; CPR before hire
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Provides psychosocial assistance to patients and families in the areas of financial challenges, local housing, transportation, food, and prescribed medications.
Intervenes in crises to assist clients and conducts assessments to determine needs.
Assists patients and families with education, coping strategies, adjustment to disease, grief response, and acute or chronic mental health issues.
Investigates child abuse or neglect cases and takes authorized protective action when necessary.
Refers clients to community or social service programs and educational or work programs
Organizes patient support groups and advocates for patients within the community.
Completes other duties as assigned.
