The Partnership Development Senior Analyst role will provide an array of financial, data aggregation, analytical and diligence support to agilon’s business and strategic development activities to further support agilon’s execution of its growth strategy in new and existing markets. The successful candidate is an independent, analytical, and intellectually curious individual who can take initiative, work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, structure analyses and strategies, and articulate findings to a wide range of business stakeholders, including senior leadership throughout the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
• Evaluate potential new partnership or acquisition opportunities; prepare financial models summarizing the projected near-term and longer-term financial impact of potential transactions, including key metrics, ratios and industry comparisons
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including complex operating and scenario analyses
• Support due diligence on partnership opportunities, including evaluation of potential partners’ financial and market data for incorporation into assessments and recommendations
• Create and maintain market analyses that quantify the addressable market, monitor the competitive landscape, and identify actionable growth opportunities
• Prepare presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors and provide analyses and recommendations to assist with strategic decision-making
• Maintain pipelines, process timelines, and checklists to manage projects through to completion
The Successful Candidate Will Possess:
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and be capable of breaking down highly complex problems and large amounts of data in order to synthesize them into a coherent strategy
• Exceptional Excel skills and capable of building robust and detailed financial models
• Familiarity with leveraging external databases to drive analyses
• Experience with corporate finance and valuation practices
• Fluency in PowerPoint and the ability to translate results into crisp presentations to senior management & external parties/prospective partners
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet quicker deadlines and work independently without constant supervision
• Extreme attention to detail
• Sound business judgment and works with a sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings and recommendations to a wide range of constituents
• Adaptability to working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Required Qualifications:
1. Minimum Experience
o Minimum 2 years of analytical experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, and /or a corporate development, strategy, or financial planning & analysis role
o Managed care and /or physician group experience preferred
2. Education/Licensure:
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required
