Job description

HR Coordinator

The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, This role will partner with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure seamless execution of HR processes and promote a positive employee experience. This position is responsible for coordinating employee lifecycle processes, maintaining HR systems and records, and assisting with the administration of HR programs and projects. The HR Coordinator ensures efficient, accurate, and timely handling of HR activities while providing responsive, service-oriented support to employees and internal partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding: send welcome communications, prepare system setup and materials, facilitate orientation, and ensure compliance-related tasks are completed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for new hires, providing timely support and guidance throughout their onboarding journey.
  • Support offboarding activities including system deactivations, final documentation, and exit communications, ensuring adherence to retention policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HRIS systems.
  • Track and process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and other personnel actions, ensuring prompt and correct data updates.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and legal compliance.
  • Monitor the HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and care.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation such as verification letters, status confirmations, and internal memos.
  • Support cross-functional teams with employee communications and document coordination.
  • Assist in documenting and improving HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and legal compliance.
  • Support the execution of HR projects, audits, and reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Qualification:

Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 1–3 years of administrative or HR experience
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and maintaining employee data

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

A reasonable estimated salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000 USD.  This position and compensation range is for candidates who reside in the United States.  Our compensation ranges and packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate. It is not a common practice or guaranteed for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and compensation decisions are determined using a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to; skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific location due to cost of living & labor considerations; All of which will be considered during the interview and offer process. Salary ranges will differ in other countries in which MHI pays local currency.
