Purchasing Specialist

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed - oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our procurement team. The role is focused on the acquisition of aviation and optronics related components and materials. Each Purchasing Specialist is assigned a specific niche within the supply chain to develope deep expertise in that area and contribute to the company’s competitive advantage.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate and manage suppliers within a defined niche.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with technical and operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, invoices and delivery documents.
  • Analyze inventory levels and collaborate with engineers, production and planning teams to forecast demand.
  • Assess procurement process to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with colleagues across global offices, contributing to a cohesive and efficient international supply chain.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in purchasing of goods, materials and services.
  • Experience or strong interest in aviation, electronics or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of supplier selection and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement and inventory management software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Fluency in Latvian and English, knowledge of Russian is considered as an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, logistics, business administration, engineering or a related field.
