Business Controller to our HQ in Helsinki

As our Business Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and process development in our multinational, fast-paced organization. You'll be managing reporting processes, analyzing data, supporting business cases, and serving as a financial systems expert and internal advisor.

Your key responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  Business planning and presenting financial analysis, coordinate group and monthly reporting activities, support financial closings in a multinational environment, and deliver ad hoc reports and business case analyses to internal stakeholders. Assist in preparing financial statements and business reviews in collaboration with internal and external partners.

• Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning:
  Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, develop key financial metrics, and support strategic decision-making through data analysis and business case evaluation.

• Systems & Tools Management:
  Act as administrator and owner of finance, ERP, and BI systems (including Power BI), ensuring tools are aligned with business needs and users are properly supported and trained.

• Audit, Compliance & Intercompany Operations:
  Prepare for and participate in audit processes globally. Handle intercompany (IC) transactions, including creating IC invoices and calculating group-related IC fees. Prepare intercompany loan agreements when needed and calculate corresponding group loan interest.

• Project & Stakeholder Support:
  Collaborate on cross-functional projects—especially those involving Business Finland funding—support project-based business operations and serve as a key internal advisor on financial matters including billing, cost management, and system use.

• Process Development & Continuous Improvement:
  Continuously improve internal financial processes, reporting tools, and operational efficiency, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing enhancements.

We might be looking for you, if you have:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and at least 4 years of experience in a similar finance/business controller role (preferably from an international stock listed company)

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and accounting principles (FAS). Tech-savvy and comfortable administering ERP/finance/reporting systems

• Proficiency in Excel (advanced level a must); experience with Power BI is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English AND Finnish

• High adaptability in working both hands-on and strategically; as a person you are proactive and detail-oriented and a genuine team player who’s excited to contribute and share knowledge.
