We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our Walmart business segment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong relationships with Walmart, and ensuring the successful growth and profitability of our private-label apparel line.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Opportunities

  • Understand competitive market place for intimates (Bras, Panties, Shape, Maternity) and activewear 
  • Become an expert at the competitive landscape at Walmart 
  • What are the whitespaces at Walmart and how do we translate for the Walmart customer 
  • How do we grow in current categories and enter new ones 
  • Work with production to insure we have appropriate supply chain to execute against opportunities 


Pricing

  • Understand Walmart’s retail structure and provide direction to design and production 
  • Work with design and production to cost products that work for Delta margin structure 20%+ and WM margins 40%+ in replenishment and 50%+ in seasonal 


Process

  • Lead cross-functional team in calendar adherence pre-commit 
  • Pre-market meetings; Market Meetings; Samples for ADM/AFM 
  • Lead cross-functional team in calendar adherence Post Commit: all sample requirements; lab dip approvals; size set approvals; factories approved; collaborate with Client Services on packaging requirements
  • Ensure CADs updated timely with all required information (planning, design, production) 
  • Understand commitment requirements in order to hit Walmart delivery dates and make sure WM is clear and committed to the dates 
  • Work collaboratively with planning on developing monthly forecasts for Finpro meetings (Financial reviews with CFO/CEO) 
  • Communication 
  • Proactively communicate good and bad news to WM buying teams 
  • Understand performance of current programs and highlight to buyers in regular calls. 
  • Understand supply chain performance for upcoming programs and proactively communicate to Walmart buyers. 
  • Insure CFT internally gets communicated to immediately when information is shared by Walmart

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in sales leadership, specifically in the apparel industry with a focus on private label
  • Walmart or Intimates Experience Required
  • Strong track record of managing large retail accounts, preferably with Walmart or similar big-box retailers
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of the retail and fashion landscape
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Leadership and team management
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NJ office 


HYBRID SCHEDULE:

4 days in office, Friday work from home

 

PAY RATE: $230,000/yr-$270,000/yr
