Summary: The HR Generalist is a critical contributor to the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance, supporting employees, and driving HR programs aligned with Veracity’s mission. This role touches all areas of HR: employee relations, compliance, benefits, and performance management, and works cross-functionally to foster an engaged, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions on benefits and policies.
Coordinate benefit enrollments and communicate plan updates.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Maintain accurate employee records and generate required HR reports.
Help develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
Educate employees on culture initiatives, values, and policy changes.
Lead or support key HR initiatives (e.g., DEI programs, wellness, engagement surveys).
Identify and support process improvements and HRIS system efficiencies.
Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
2–4 years of HR experience; SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
