Senior O&G Key Account Manager

As a Senior Oil & Gas Key Account Manager, you will provide revenue growth with existing & new customers in the oil and gas market. Sales calls would be required on owners, buyers, engineers & other decision makers from key end users & applicators. Develop new accounts by improving our relationships with key decision makers. Working knowledge about liquid coating application and the ability to work with customers to improve coating properties and performance is must as well as working with R&D to understand the product chemistry.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:

  • Develop relationships with existing assigned accounts.

  • Spearhead business development of O&G projects in North America.

  • Follow-up of projects through the order phase

  • Include Hempel in the corporate specs of the major clients within the US & CA

  • Prospect new accounts and begin to develop relationships with key decision makers. Focus on O&G refineries, petrochemical plants, and tank terminals.

  • Understand and become familiar with Hempel products, focus on technical coatings including Linings, CUI/High Heat, Insulating, H-PFP and other technology.

  • Understand and become familiar with the Hempel organization and be able to navigate orders and other key processes through our system.

  • Utilize CRM to manage and grow accounts. Prepare monthly reports on sales activities.

  • Attend industry related conferences to generate leads and create brand image.

  • Understand Hempel websites and how to use them as a selling tool.

  • Prepare price quotes.

  • Works closely with R&D. Develop a working understanding of Hempel products

  • Works closely with Customer Service. Understand the order system, how to place and track an order.

  • Make decisions time spent on with customers and prospects to maximize sales and profits

  • Manage expenses and customer entertainment.

  • Understand what products should be recommended for specific applications.

  • Target Objectives for new account growth.

  • Inventory management based on customer needs.

  • Lead analysis and follow-up.

  • Manage customer complaint process.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 7-10 years minimum coatings application experience selling into facilities, EPC’s.

  • Specification Knowledge.

  • Selling and Relationship Building and negotiation skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, Excel and Power Point.

  • Experience utilizing CRM.

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Excellent oral presentation skills.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Overnight travel (50%).
