We are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Daramic where we develop and manufacture advanced lead-acid battery separators that are driving innovation in transportation and industrial applications with cars, trucks, forklifts, and golf carts as well as ESS.

Job Description:

Responsible for the global supply chain strategy and execution, including sales and operations planning (S&OP), customer service, inventory management, scheduling, planning, warehousing, and logistics.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • ASCM certification preferred.
  • Excellent change management skills as well as excellent people skills.
  • Ability to interact well with direct reports, peers, and executive leadership team members is required.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to influence others that are not direct reports.
  • Detailed knowledge of production scheduling practices, raw material planning strategies, and the ability to adapt those strategies as business conditions change is required.
  • Goal-oriented; able to meet KPIs as well as develop relevant KPIs for a team and drive performance to achieve those results.
  • Willingness to take on tactical work to ensure completion of key tasks while also playing a role as a developer and implementer of strategies.
  • Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn new ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX) will be required
  • A strong project management skill set is required to implement new ideas and lead others in the organization, which are not direct reports.
  • Flexibility to tackle a variety of different types of work
  • Lean Manufacturing Mindset
  • Strong Analytical skills to evaluate the needs of the business

Expectations

  • Develop the executive S&OP strategy in conjunction with commercial and operational leadership to drive the business strategy required to achieve the company’s financial and strategic objectives.
  • Manage regional supply chain needs in US, Europe, and Asia to cascade the S&OP strategy down to the regional teams responsible for overseeing the production and delivery of products
  • Reduce production changeovers, aged inventory, and achieve targeted on time shipment levels by implementing the appropriate inventory planning strategy
  • Manage inventory of finished goods and WIP inventory to support a production plan that can be successful in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and influence others cross-functionally in the organization to achieve results.
  • Collaborate with operational and commercial leaders across both business units to understand demand and supply constraints and develop strategies that proactively address these risks.
  • Support the optimization of plant loading to ensure maximum productivity of the plants
  • Ability to tackle special projects beyond the scope of the role

Working Conditions

General office environment.  Work is generally sedentary in nature, but it may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.  Lighting and temperature are adequate.  Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard equipment available.  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount to force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Global Travel up to 30%

Candidate Requirements

Education:                                          

Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in business, supply chain, or related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education is required. 

Master’s or advanced degree in Business, or related field preferred.

Professional experience:                    

10+ years of supply chain related experience with 2+ years of solid supply planning experience.

5+ years of experience managing supply chain professionals.
