Job description

Client centric professional services organisation who caters to both domestic and international clients across a variety of sectors providing a wide range of advisory and corporate services to local and international clients needs a Tax Executive to join their team. The Tax Executive will report both the Tax Senior Executive and Tax Partner.

Role & Responsibilities

Work on tax advisory projects for both local and international clients, including tax optimisation, structuring, asset protection, investment funds, private clients, estate planning, M&A, and intellectual property
Manage Maltese tax matters for a portfolio of clients
Prepare tax refund applications and shareholder registration forms
Handle statutory filings with CFR on behalf of clients
Contribute to the preparation of articles, newsletters, and marketing materials
Advise clients on the impact of changes in domestic legislation and how these may affect their business operations

Skills and Experience

Around three years’ experience in taxation, with a focus on Maltese tax
Degree in Accountancy or Law
Specialisation in tax (e.g. Master’s in Taxation, ADIT, or MIT) is considered an asset
Solid knowledge of Maltese tax legislation and compliance requirements
Proven experience in preparing and submitting tax returns and tax refund applications
Good communication skills (both verbally and written) in English
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
High attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure
