Job description

Desktop Support Technician  

Job Summary
Desktop Support Technician is an intermediate position that performs tasks related to the repair of a variety of technology-based products typically associated in an end-user computing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • Experience in ITSM Ticketing tools
  • Experience with autopilot and intune
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues, BSoD (Blue Screen of Death)
  • Teams & Outlook Troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Skills
  • Excellence in communication and customer-facing skills
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes with minimal instruction
  • Ability to lift and or move various computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Must own a basic repair kit
  • Additional requirements may exist if offer of employment is extended

Education and Experience
  • Typically requires technical school certification or equivalent of 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of relevant software and hardware systems
  • May require additional customer-specific certifications or training as required
