At WD Processing Inc., a subsidiary of Vitalus Nutrition Inc. in Abbotsford, BC, we’re committed to unlocking the nutritional value of milk through safe, high-quality dairy processing.
As a Quality Analyst reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and improving our food safety and quality systems. You’ll work hands-on with documentation, lab data, environmental monitoring, and cross-functional training to help ensure our dairy products meet the highest internal, regulatory, and customer standards.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and update food safety and quality documentation (SOPs, forms, logs), ensuring alignment with FSSC 22000, company policies, and document control standards
  • Support onboarding and training activities by maintaining records, delivering refresher sessions, and updating training materials
  • Manage the shelf-life sample library and input lab data (microbiological/analytical) into D365 for COA creation and trending
  • Conduct environmental swabbing, water sampling, and internal inspections; compile data for trend analysis and reporting
  • Assist with validation and continuous improvement efforts through data collection, documentation support, and basic issue tracking
  • Track and document non-conformances; support corrective training and escalate issues to the Quality Manager as needed
  • Engage in ongoing learning through internal and external lab training; apply knowledge to enhance team performance


What You Bring

  • Diploma or degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality, ideally within a food manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with microbiological and analytical testing procedures for food products
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards, SOPs, GMP, GLP, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 (asset)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across departments
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset and ability to work independently
