JOB PURPOSE:

As a Junior Designer, you will work closely with the Design Studio team reporting to the Senior Designer for a large online retail account. The work produced for this client will be focussed on production rollout across digital marketing and owned content channels. Here, you'll work on a wide variety of onsite campaigns, sometimes at a faster pace and with a quicker turnaround. You’ll work with a supportive team of creatives, designers, copywriters and account service to deliver design rollout that fulfils client briefs, on time and to DEPT’s high standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Rollout digital assets understanding the objectives of the brief from start to finish
  • Produce final design assets with diligence and care
  • Apply industry standards and stay updated with the trends.
  • Present your work with rationales and incorporate design thinking when communicating with creative leaders
  • Work closely with the account service and merchandising team to deliver multiple campaigns whilst juggling priorities per resource planner
  • Use feedback from your peers as well as leaders to improve standard of work
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and make revisions accordingly

SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a related industry is a bonus
  • You will have a genuine love for the medium, and in particular digital marketing
  • Degree in Design or related field
  • Keen attention to detail, along with a solid understanding of visual elements, layout, and composition.
  • Experience with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with the basics of using Figma
  • Animation skills is a bonus
  • Ability to design in small web placements
  • Skilled in image retouching 
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent team player and problem solving aptitude
  • Self-driven with an inquisitive nature
  • Has a desire to embrace new skills and challenges
  • Some understanding of digital marketing is a bonus
