Job description

Powering Global Payments: Operations at Navro

This isn’t just another operations role. No legacy systems. No corporate red tape. No coasting. This is about building and executing flawless payment processes from the ground up in a fast-scaling FinTech. Fast.

We’re Navro, a rapidly scaling B2B payments startup, and we’re looking for an organised, detailed, self-starter to join our world-class Operations Team. This is your chance to become an expert in our payment flows, ensure the accuracy of every transaction, and make a direct impact on our clients' success. You won’t have layers of approval slowing you down. This isn’t a passenger role. We’re bringing you in for your expertise, your relentless drive for precision, and your commitment to operational excellence.

Who We Are

We are transforming payments for global platforms and e-commerce businesses. As the world’s first payments curation platform, we simplify cross-border transactions by uniting best-in-class infrastructure into a seamless ecosystem, enabling businesses to scale and operate effortlessly across borders. Cross-border workforce payments are slow, expensive, and outdated. We can’t be. Businesses rely on us to pay their people accurately and on time - contractors, freelancers, and employees across the globe. When we say we’ll deliver, failure isn’t an option. If we don’t do what we said we would, people don’t get paid - not just a transaction delayed, but real workers left without wages. That means a developer in Argentina missing their paycheck, a freelancer in the Philippines unable to pay rent, or a contractor in Poland unable to get to work. No excuses. No passengers. No tolerance for politics or mediocrity.

The Role

As a Payments Operations Specialist, you are at the heart of our mission, ensuring that every transaction is processed with accuracy and speed. You will be responsible for managing the daily flow of payments, investigating exceptions, and working with our partners and internal teams to maintain a seamless operational engine. This role is critical to building and maintaining the trust our clients place in us.

Requirements

What This Role Demands:

⚡ You Own It – You’re accountable for every payment run, every reconciliation, and every investigation. If a payment is delayed or a discrepancy occurs, it’s on you to see it through to resolution.

⚡ You Ask the Hard Questions – You don’t just process payments; you challenge the status quo to make things better. Why did this fail? Could this process be more efficient? How can we prevent this error next time?

⚡ You Fix What’s Broken – No waiting for permission. If you spot a recurring issue or an inefficient process, you dive in, investigate the root cause, and suggest improvements.

⚡ You’re Hands-On – One minute you’re monitoring payment runs and resolving exceptions, the next you’re deep in the data reconciling unallocated credits, and the next you're interacting with our banking partners.

⚡ You Thrive in Chaos – Startups are messy. Priorities can shift, and ambiguity is constant. You bring clarity, focus, and a structured approach to your work without getting bogged down.

⚡ You Handle the Pressure – Fast-paced. High stakes. You balance multiple priorities, manage critical deadlines, and maintain an unwavering focus on accuracy and efficiency.

⚡ You’re Here for the Journey – This is career-defining. It’s hard, rewarding, and not for the faint-hearted. If you’re ready to grow alongside Navro, let’s build something amazing together.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the processing of outgoing and incoming payments across various payment methods (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments).
  • Trace and investigate delayed or missing payments to ensure timely resolution.
  • Review and help resolve any errors or exceptions in payment files.
  • Monitor and resolve all exceptions and anomalies in payment runs with urgency and precision.
  • Maintain and track rejected payments, ensuring full visibility and adherence to internal SLAs.
  • Support onboarding and updates to beneficiary/remitter profiles, verifying details to avoid payment failures or regulatory breaches.
  • Respond to internal or external queries about remitter/beneficiary information.
  • Manage and reconcile unallocated credits; proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders or external parties
  • Interact professionally with customers, partners, and internal teams (e.g. Client Solutions, Product, Compliance) to provide updates or help with payment-related questions.
  • Escalate complex cases when needed, while staying involved in the follow-up..
  • Help identify any recurring issues and suggest improvements where appropriate.
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines and initiatives in a timely and efficient manner ensuring proficient communication to internal stakeholders throughout.
  • Run daily, hourly and periodic reports within multiple facets of the business

What We’re Looking For:

⚡ Payments Pro: Proven experience in a payments-related role, with a strong understanding of payment processing models and schemes (SWIFT, SEPA, etc.).

⚡ Detail-Obsessed: You don’t miss a thing. Your ability to pay strict attention to detail while performing repetitive and critical tasks is second to none.

⚡ Problem Solver: You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex payment issues and find the root cause.

⚡ Tool Ninja: Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is essential for reporting and analysis.

⚡ Collaborator Extraordinaire: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex payment concepts clearly and concisely to internal teams and external partners.

⚡ Customer-Centric: You have a strong sense of urgency and a customer-focused approach, understanding the real-world impact of payment operations.

  • You are fluent in English (required), with additional languages being a plus.

You may not possess every single required skill listed, and that's perfectly fine. If you have most of them, along with grit, passion, a desire to learn quickly, and the willingness to get stuck in, we encourage you to apply.
