MOTIS Brands is seeking a strong motivated team member for a Business-to-Business outside sales position as National Accounts Manager. You will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities both large and small and follow up with potential leads. The applicant will enjoy learning, have an upbeat personality and show excellent interpersonal communication skills. This position is for outsides sales (on the road) for MAC’s Custom Tie Downs serving the automotive and racing channel. Your customers and potential customers will be fabrication shops, automotive upfitters, race teams, powersports enthusiasts, custom car and truck builders along with dealers and distributors. In this role you will be as comfortable in dress shoes (or high heels) as you would be in work boots as your clients vary and both are required.
Key Responsibilities
Largely on your own, autonomy is required, you will have the self-motivation to identify, seek and acquire new business. This includes prospecting, researching, cold calling and visiting existing customers to drive revenue growth.
You will be responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned annual revenue and margin targets by promoting and selling products in compliance with the Company's pricing policies.
You will to develop lasting and genuine relationships with customers and organizations by embodying mutual trust and respect.
Protect and manage the financial resources of the Company and comply with budget and travel policies.
Develop and implement an annual strategy along with individual customer strategies to maximize the market potential.
Internal communication is key, and you will be the champion for your customer and represent them internally across varying departments and objectives.
You will own new account setup (identify corporate details, credit application, informing credit limit, and determining sales tax status).
You will identify large target accounts and strategize with management to create competitive pricing. In this role you will show an excellent ability to set pricing and terms for a successful quotation.
You must proactively monitor Accounts Receivable and assist in collections for past due invoices when needed.
For your customers you will monitor daily product delivery and manufacturing schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
Provide sales forecasts, sales funnel and sales pipeline information on a regular basis.
Handle customer concerns promptly and effectively and keep management informed on market conditions.
Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as assigned and demonstrate products when necessary. Many times, this will include travel over nights and weekends.
Act at all times with integrity and honesty, representing the company in a positive manner.
5+ years sales or equivalent experience.
4-year degree preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and listening skills.
Have a positive attitude, be a strong performer, highly driven with an outgoing and likable personality.
Understand manufacturing and costing processes.
Ability to make sound, timely decisions.
Self-motivated with strong time management skills and priority focus.
Proficient in Microsoft and NetSuite or similar CRM and ERP systems.
Valid driving license with clean driving record.
Willingness and ability to learn multiple businesses and to work independently to achieve goals.
Ability to listen, quote, follow-up, sell and be persuasive.
Travel required: >50%, including overnight travel or as needed.
