ISP Senior Operational Risk Manager Role Profile
Purpose of Role
The ISP Senior Operational Risk Manager role reports to the Group Head of Operational Risk and is responsible for the management of the Safeguarding and Health & Safety Managers in their specified area. They will play a key supporting role to the Group Head of Operational Risk and the ISP Schools within their area of responsibility. The role demands an ability to build strong relationships with ISP Safeguarding and Health & Safety Managers, providing leadership and guidance to the team and ensuring that the strategic goals of the Operational Risk team are met. This role is remote and is open to candidates based in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, or India.

ISP Senior Operational Risk Manager Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the onsite and self assessment audit schedule is in line with the Operational Risk plan. 
  • Management of MyConcern ensuring that schools are using the system in conjunction capably and effectively with the ISP Safeguarding Managers and the review MyConcern data to Identify trends. 
  • Work with the Group Educational Visits Manager to ensure schools are following the Educational Visits Policy. 
  • Ensure that the Health & Safety and Safeguarding Managers are progressing the onboarding of new schools In their specific areas and assist with the management of any issues. 
  • Support the ISP Group Head of Operational Risk in the management of any Crisis Fact Sheets within their specific areas. 
  • Carry out the final reviews of the monthly Operational Risk reports. 
  • Hold monthly regional reviews of the Operational Risk reports, identifying data trends for the Operational Risk team to investigate and provide regions with advice on Improvement plans.
  • Support the Operational Risk team by carrying out audits where required.
  • Provide advice and support to ISP Safeguarding Managers, Designated Safeguarding Leads, Principals and Regional Managing Directors. 
Training 
  • Working with the ISP Operational Risk Training Manager in improving the safety and safeguarding training provided to the whole of ISP. 
  • Review data trends across safety and safeguarding to provide the ISP Operational Risk Training Manager with material 
Other 
  • Perform any additional relevant tasks as necessary. 
  • To be fully effective, the role requires interaction with colleagues, partners and contractors at a variety of levels, including SLT, management, contractors and consultants. 
  • Adhere to the business policies, rules and procedures including, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, all other legislative responsibilities, governance and financial policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance to ISP’s Code of Conduct in the delivery and provision of services to schools, staff and the community. 
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Previously worked at group or senior school level within safeguarding is essential.  
  • Previously worked at group or senior school level within health and safety (desirable) 
  • Possessing a good working knowledge of both safeguarding and health and safety. 
  • International education experience is desirable 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Interpersonal with strong relationship building and collaboration skills 
  • Strong systems skills 
  • Disciplined and focused on targets and able to work in isolation 
  • Be driven and able to meet realistic deadlines 
  • Adaptable to different cultures and situations 
  • Flexibility in travel, happy to spend periods away from home
