Description

Barcel USA is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Data Syndication Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently coordinating item data through various platforms, primarily GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network) and templated exports, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information. Additionally, you will be involved in item setup management using our PIM, Salsify. As the Data Syndication Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our digital operations and enabling effective communication between departments. This role reports to the Data and Content Syndication Manager.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the flow of item data through GDSN and templated exports, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information.

- Collaborate with both internal and external teams, including sales, brand marketing, regulatory, and retailers to gather and review item data requirements.

- Implement and maintain item setup processes and guidelines within the Salsify platform.

- Support the creation and maintenance of item catalogs, including product descriptions, attributes, images, and other valuable data.

- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to verify data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across platforms.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues and provide timely solutions.

- Assist in training sales teams in data management best practices and the effective use of item data platforms.

- Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to item data management.

- Act as an internal GS1 standards advocate.

Qualifications

  • GS1 Standards knowledge.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, IT, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in coordinating digital information, collecting and cleaning item data, or similar responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with GDSN and experience working with templated exports recommended.  
  • Proficient in coding basics and excel-based formulas. 
  • Proficient in using item management platforms, such as Salsify and Syndigo.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organization and prioritization skills. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines, act with sense of urgency, and work under pressure. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to focus and perform effectively in a loud and crowded work environment. 
  • Knowledge of CPG industry standards and regulations related to item data management is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and online retail environments is recommended.
