Position Summary:
Provide preventative maintenance functions as well as repairs involving plumbing components/systems, electrical, drywall and painting, HVAC systems, furnishings, and equipment. Ability to work productively, proactively and in a positive supporting manner when interacting with host facility building management staffs. Ability to communicate need and urgency of repairs or response in a positive manner. Ability to report interaction with building services and report of issue status to the CEO and facility management in a positive manner. Must command understanding of door locking systems, access control systems and general security of the behavioral health environment. Must command understanding, knowledge and ability to service, repair, program and facilitate facility IS/IT systems and communication systems.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma, Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience (preferred)

Experience:   

  • Skills and employment experience in the following areas: drywall repairs and/or installation, painting, plumbing repairs, minor electrical maintenance/repair, landscaping maintenance, HVAC maintenance and repairs, HVAC system programming; appliance, furnishings and basic equipment maintenance & repairs.
  • Experience with door locking and access control systems, electronic coding or programming of systems.
  • Strong experience in developing, continuing and documentation of regulatory requirements such as CMS and TJC.
  • Experience coordinating emergency planning, response and staff training in a health care setting.
