Job description

Overview

Account Coordinators serve as the foundation of TriplePoint and are our next-generation team leaders. You have some knowledge of public relations and are ready to dive head first into the dynamic and fast-paced world of agency life. You are aware of what media our clients might be interested in, and are starting to identify influencers to follow. You are interested in all kinds of technology, startup culture, virtual reality, and video games.

While you haven’t yet gained the experience of an Account Executive, you know that you want a career in public relations, and are ambitious enough to begin developing the necessary tools and confidence to realize your dreams. Your writing is free of typos, and you keep yourself so well organized that you never miss an assignment or let a deadline slip. You are beginning to see the “why” behind your assignments rather than just the how. You know how to communicate in a professional manner and understand the importance of asking questions and being open about both what works and what needs an adjustment. You are curious about the industries we serve and strive to learn more.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and rapidly execute on basic formats of PR writing, including press releases, pitches, and social media. Deliver error-free documents on or ahead of deadline. Build and maintain impeccable shared documents and spreadsheets with no errors.
  • Plan and organize company-wide brainstorms, meetings and discussions. Contribute meaningfully by thinking outside the box and drawing on trends to reach target audiences.
  • Display an ability to individually solve common problems associated with everyday tasks, and begin developing skills to address unique challenges that may arise.
  • Expand knowledge and awareness of media publications and specific writers, developing skills that can identify these targets on client teams through research and mindfulness.
  • Be a reliable communicator, always at the ready to take direction, raise a hand, or ask a question. Be open to feedback and constructive edits, improving with each draft and never making the same mistake twice. Applies critical thinking to effective communication in both verbal and written form, including daily team and press correspondence.
  • A strong team member who collaborates and achieves goals together with their peers. Minimizes use of "I" in client correspondence and communicates as "we." Regularly contributes to shared knowledge base and operates in full transparency to gain trust.
  • Manages daily tasks and prioritizes assignments to meet deadlines. Shows skill in managing daily tasks according to client and team needs.
  • Regularly consumes media that is relevant to clients and expands beyond immediate endemic outlets.
  • Work closely with senior staff to support agency-wide efforts and chart your career development. Your first exposure to defining strengths and weaknesses, and actively pursuing the development of those skills through hands-on work.
  • Conduct media audits and research to drive new business intelligence.
