Role Description:

Classiq is seeking a full-time Quantum Application Engineer to join our growing team in Tokyo. As a member of Classiq’s global Quantum Application team, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer success, supporting technical engagements, and helping drive adoption of our cutting-edge quantum software platform.

In this role, you will work closely with both our customers and internal teams, providing hands-on technical support, managing complex projects, and applying your expertise in quantum algorithms and quantum application development using Classiq’s platform. Your efforts will be essential in enabling successful deployments and identifying areas for product improvement. This position will directly report to the Managing Director, Japan & APAC while dotted-reporting to the Director of Quantum Applications Engineer based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to enterprise and academic customers in Japan and across APAC (e.g. South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Australia)
• Troubleshoot customer issues and help design effective quantum application workflows using Classiq’s platform
• Contribute to pre-sales and post-sales activities, working closely with the sales and product teams to drive customer success
• Identify product enhancement opportunities based on user feedback and project experiences
• Collaborate closely with GTM team to promote Classiq’s brand, technology, and values within the APAC quantum ecosystem
• Represent Classiq at local and regional events, workshops, and partner meetings.

About You:

• Strong understanding of quantum computing and quantum algorithms
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles, preferably in B2B or deep-tech environments
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment
• Fluent in both Japanese and English. Strong English communication skills are essential to support non-Japanese customers in APAC effectively.
• Passionate about advancing quantum computing adoption in Japan and across the APAC region

What Will Your Day Look Like?

• Implement sophisticated quantum algorithms using Classiq’s platform
• Providing technical support to Classiq’s customers
• Troubleshooting issues and managing projects related to quantum algorithms and applications
• Collaborating with the global Quantum Application Engineering team and the APAC GTM teams
• Driving customer success and identifying opportunities for product enhancement
• Creating and presenting demos of novel quantum algorithms and applications to various prospects
• Promoting Classiq’s brand and values within the Japanese quantum ecosystem as a Classiq’s evangelist

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, or a related field to quantum computing.
• Experience with quantum information, quantum software engineering, or quantum algorithms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English
• Strong technical support, troubleshooting, and project management skills
• Advantage: Proficiency in Python programming
• Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a team
