The Senior HRIS Analyst supports the development and maintenance of human resources information systems, with the primary focus on Workday. Throughout the lifecycle of routine & project efforts, they will ensure quality, consistency, and integrity of impacted HR data as well as efficient execution of workflows and related business processes.
Location: Remote (PST Preferred)
Responsibilities
For medium to large-impact efforts, lead discovery, documentation, and translation of business needs into technical requirements, followed by configuration, prototyping, testing, and hyper-care support
Look beyond requirements to offer the right-sized solution that both meets customer needs and considers audience, performance, usability/sustainability, and broader impact
Serve as a thought partner for customer groups, advise on business requirements, data presentation, report performance, and metrics and measures that inform business insights, and support decision making
Complete testing to ensure enhancements and projects meet business requirements and are free of defects; create test plans and test cases, perform system and end-to-end testing
Collaborate with other system user groups including IT, Finance, Payroll, and functional areas within HR to develop and maintain consistent methodologies, governance models, standards, and best practices for administration of systems and processes
Functional Expertise
Provide functional leadership with proven & demonstrable configuration expertise in one or more of: HCM, Recruiting, Security, Performance, Talent, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, Reporting, and Integrations
Develop, maintain and improve a variety of integration types between Workday and other internal & external systems (EIB, Studio, Cloud Connect, API, etc.)
Effectively leverage internal & external resources for attainment of personal & team objectives
Adhere to global data privacy legislation and company compliance practices to maintain data integrity and quality standards
Build reports, perform data modeling, data analysis, and reporting in order to provide consumable information, visibility to critical data metrics and insights that can assist data driven decision making
Operational & Support Responsibilities
Serve as an escalation point for complex ServiceNow tickets, including incident triage, bug research, customer issues, and resolution documentation
Develop and maintain end-user/training materials; deliver technical training and knowledge transfer sessions as needed
Manage operational support vendor(s) in resolving open items
Stay updated with Workday releases and identify opportunities to leverage new features and functionality to improve business processes
Provide exceptional customer service
Skills and Qualifications
3-5 years of Workday configuration experience required
Intermediate level experience with Excel required
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstrable ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
High drive and takes initiative to get things completed timely
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to self-manage priorities and adhere to deadlines within a distributed team setting
