SUMMARY

Plan, control, and direct activities of the L&A Division’s Sales Team to obtain maximum sales volume and to develop maximum potential volume from all markets for the organization's products/services.  Act within the scope of overall objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals.  In addition, the Regional Sales Manager shall also perform the same duties and responsibilities as Sales Account Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Meet established sales objectives through direct sales activities by using consultative and strategic selling principles.

Support the departmental Goals and Objectives to ensure the most effective operation and profitability of sales activities are performed by the team.   Ensure that approved policies, procedures and objectives are fully understood, communicated and attained by assigned personnel.

Direct the continuing review, discussions and appraisal process for pricing, distribution and other policies and procedures of the organization.  Recommend changes that would improve the success of achieving sales objectives and goals.

Design and enacts a new or expanded customer penetration process with focus to expand overall products and services national footprint. And, to increase Order and Sales revenue within the National Sales Market.

Build and establish productive and professional relationships within new and current customer base. Understand all phases of our customer business that will improve our success to attain our sales goals and objectives.

Understand how to use and enact a CRM system within the Business Division with specific focus and data-based reporting on all Sales related activities.  Be able to use this information for inter divisional discussions on customer services, support and operational activities.

Ensure that all orders and other Customer communications assigned to your team are promptly and accurately handled.  Take appropriate action to resolve Customer service problems.

Direct the reporting and appraise the results of each authorized sales program against planned objectives.

Establish, execute and maintain an adequate sales training program for your team members.

Create competitive solutions by recognizing Muratec Group Companies’ advanced technologies and manufacturing processes.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly manage and supervise Sales Account Managers in the Logistics & Automation Sales Group.  Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university (Engineering preferred) and 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience selling large capital expense projects, material handling and conveying equipment (i.e. AS/RS, AGVS, monorail and/or conveyor systems) and prior sales management experience required.  Strong analytical data driven ability in sales, marketing and management areas; general business and technical aptitude.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.  Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

TRAVEL

Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, domestically and internationally.  A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
