Insurance Verification Specialist
Location: Remote (Must be located in Houston, TX)

Memorial MRI and Diagnostic, part of the DICOT family, is seeking a skilled Insurance Authorization & Verification Specialist to manage incoming referrals, verify patient eligibility, and obtain preauthorization for diagnostic imaging services. This is a remote position supporting our Houston-based operations.


What You’ll Do:

  • Process incoming referrals for approval in a timely manner
  • Obtain preauthorization for imaging modalities as required
  • Check and confirm demographics, eligibility, and benefit information
  • Verify insurance details including mailing address and CPT codes
  • Confirm diagnosis and convert ICD-9 to ICD-10 when necessary
  • Send provider notifications for both approvals and denials
  • Communicate authorization outcomes with the scheduling department
  • Call patients to discuss benefits, deductible, and co-insurance details
     

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience with insurance verification and preauthorization processes
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-9/10, and medical terminology 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Healthcare or radiology experience preferred
