Location: Austria or other EU country

Contract: 3 months (must pass certification within the 3 month period to be hired on permanently.)

The Role in a Nutshell:

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support our operations in Austria. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with trade regulations while also assisting with organizational, administrative, and communication tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, well-organized, and possess excellent communication and coordination skills.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Act as the primary Trade Compliance Specialist for our Austrian entity, ensuring adherence to applicable trade laws and regulations.

  • Provide administrative support related to trade compliance, including scheduling, correspondence, and data/document management.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing and archiving of trade-related documentation.

  • Organize and coordinate meetings, audits, and appointments, including calendar management.

  • Support internal and external communications related to trade compliance, including drafting reports, emails, and summaries.

  • Assist in preparing presentations, compliance reports, and internal documentation for management and regulatory purposes.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support seamless compliance and operational workflows.

  • Conduct research on trade compliance topics and regulatory developments as requested.

  • Facilitate communication with external stakeholders, such as customs authorities or regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, successful completion of a commercial academy, or equivalent higher education from a European institution

  • Certificate of Competence (Befähigungsnachweis)

  • Based in an EU country.

  • Proficient in both German and English.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.

  • Familiarity with EU and Austrian trade laws or a strong willingness to learn.
