Your missions

The OSHA Compliance Specialist will provide OSHA services designed to assist and support client OSHA recordkeeping obligations, run QC/exception reports, and generate routine and ad hoc reports as requested and facilitate client compliance with regulatory requirements.

This is a remote opportunity.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Reviews, identifies, analyzes and evaluates cases for OSHA 1904 recordkeeping requirements.
  • Serves as subject matter expert pertaining to OSHA government regulations, stays abreast of regulatory requirements and ensures company compliance
  • May help develop or provide recommendations to modify company internal policies and procedures, corporate directives, standard operating procedures, professional account management standards, and client service standards as they pertain to OSHA compliance.
  • Participates in audits and establishes audit control measures to facilitate proactive OSHA compliance; generates reports from CareMC for OSHA inspectors if needed.
  • Conducts ad hoc reporting monitoring quality and other measures as dictated by best practices; fulfils any mandated regulatory reporting requirements
  • Provides advice and counseling; communicates information to include interpretation of regulations to claims staff and determines time loss from work.
  • Trains and/or supports user training for client to include report running and entry of non-claim cases.
  • Upload customer data to support the generation of 300As using familiarity with NAICS codes.
  • Quality control functions to include missing data fields on recordable cases.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with OSHA 1904 regulations is a must including an understanding of SHARPS recordkeeping obligations
  • Advanced user in Excel is a must
  • Proficient in Power Point and other MS programs is required
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required

Education & Licensing

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of workers’ compensation experience to include technical applications and direct communication with clients

Pay Range

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $21.12 - $31.55 per hour
