Job Summary

We’re seeking a collaborative and strategic People Business Partner (PBP) to join our growing People Team. This role partners directly with business leaders to align people practices with department goals, enabling high-performing teams and a thriving employee experience.


As a trusted advisor, you will support day-to-day employee relations, drive performance and talent programs, and help translate business needs into actionable people strategies. You’ll serve as a critical link between the People Team and assigned departments, ensuring alignment, consistency, and compliance in how we support and develop our teams.

 

Position is highly preferred in Pacific Time Zone.


Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with business leaders to implement people strategies aligned with operational goals and cultural values.

  • Advise on employee relations, performance challenges, and policy matters with fairness, clarity, and discretion.

  • Support key people processes, including workforce planning, talent reviews, goal setting, and performance enablement.

  • Contribute to organizational design, advising on team structure and role alignment for evolving business needs.

  • Coach managers on communication, accountability, and team development to improve effectiveness and engagement.

  • Collaborate on enterprise-wide initiatives, such as performance enablement, manager training, and employee engagement.

  • Analyze employee trends and HR data to recommend improvements in retention, morale, and organizational health.

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a consultative People Business Partner or HRBP role.

  • Solid understanding of core HR practices including employee relations, performance management, and talent planning.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive employee issues and navigate employment law with sound judgment.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align people strategies with department-level objectives.

  • Effective coaching skills for mid-level managers and emerging leaders.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills across all levels.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with shifting priorities.

  • Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS), reporting tools, and digital collaboration platforms.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.

Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
