This is a 1 year fixed term contract REMOTE working role

About the role

The Content Manager creates and implements event content and schedules, using industry knowledge and trends to develop engaging programming. They shape the content program, manage speakers and partner relations, and ensure alignment with marketing plans.

They collaborate with marketing, sales, features and talent teams to communicate programming value and develop commercial opportunities. They liaise with speakers, stage managers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of stage panels, workshops, and sessions.

They manage the content team, contractors, and specialists, and provide regular updates on the program's progress. The Content Manager also handles the budget for paid speakers and partners, working with the relevant speaker bureau.

Responsibilities

  • Develop content strategy and plans based on customer insights, behaviours, market trends and pop culture releases.

  • Collaborate with marketing, commercial and talent teams to support visitor audience delivery and identify sponsorship and ticketed opportunities.

  • Lead the content team while managing a wider network of external partners, contractors and speakers.

  • Conduct in-depth research of multiple fandoms of pop culture through various methods to drive content development.

  • Identify, secure, and manage relationships with industry experts, partners and high-profile brands to ensure quality, relevant and engaging programming that brings value to fans and clients.

  • Oversee the master schedule across all stages, workshops, summits and performances.

  • Manage and analyse event feedback, using data and KPIs to innovate and improve content strategies.

  • Excellent organisation and multi-tasking skills.

  • Strong people management skills and team-player, with demonstrated networking skills.

  • Strong creative thinking – recommending new and improved programming structures or processes.

  • Experience in researching new markets and delivering top-level programmes across multiple verticals to tight deadlines.

  • Excellent business acumen – demonstrating a desire to create new revenue streams and recommend new programming models.

  • Effective customer service skills – building relationships internally and externally, ensuring communication is professional, timely, and high quality.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Self-motivation with a determined and mature approach.
