Positions in this sub-family are responsible for providing IT functional/technical/strategic consulting and assisting businesses and other organizations to operate their IT software/hardware systems more efficiently by identifying and measuring problems, and recommending, customizing and implementing solutions. Depending on the organization, consulting projects include conducting organizational studies and evaluations; designing IT systems and procedures, and conducting work and process studies. Activities include developing and managing client relationships and managing project timelines, budgets, fees and outcomes. An Expert Professional (P5) is a recognized master in professional discipline typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. The Implementation Director, EHR Innovation & Integration, team is a key delivery leader of technical consulting solutions for the Nordic Accelerate program and member of the Transformation & Innovation Services division. This position will be responsible for successfully managing strategic projects and client relationships for a digital health client. With a strong team of ex-Epic application and integration architects and business development support from our partnerships team, you will help lead advisory and implementation projects for clients and be the primary conduit and decision point nexus between internal and external project resources to ensure delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
This role is instrumental in improving client delivery and EHR user workflow adoption of end-to-end solutions and data while simultaneously looking at the client’s larger Go To Market strategy for opportunities to expand solution value and increase speed of implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Implementation Director will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Lead End-to-End Implementation: Direct the comprehensive implementation process for digital health vendor solutions, ensuring seamless execution from project inception to completion.
Team Management: Supervise and guide a diverse team of consultants, project managers, and technical personnel to achieve project objectives and milestones.
Client Relationship Management: Foster strong partnerships with client stakeholders to effectively manage communication, expectations, and satisfaction throughout the implementation journey.
Project Planning and Execution: Develop and uphold project timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance protocols to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Budget Oversight: Monitor project expenditures closely, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets while identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies.
Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Stay current with the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies related to healthcare interoperability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in leading complex implementation projects within the healthcare or digital health sector.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams and guiding them towards common goals.
Client-Focused: Exceptional client relationship management skills with a focus on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
Organizational Acumen: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail.
Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Problem-Solving Aptitude: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and drive solutions effectively.
EXPERIENCE
Ten (10) plus years of project/program management experience
Five (5) plus years of Epic build/configuration experience across multiple applications
Ten (10) plus years of experience in healthcare
Experience managing people, programs, and projects within healthcare and IT environments
Experience working as a consultant, lead analyst, or product manager for a health system
High individual performance standards and with drive for continuous improvement
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Ability to collaborate across internal and external teams
Exceptional customer management and service skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to seek out and solve novel problems
