Job description

🚀 Who we are

Nava Benefits is a modern benefits brokerage on a mission to make great benefits easy. We’re led by a calling that’s focused on more than maximizing profits: bringing high-quality, affordable healthcare to all Americans. Starting with a focus on employers, our approach combines deep industry expertise and tech-forward innovation with an ultimate goal to #fixhealthcare.

Launched by seasoned co-founders, we're a cross-functional, passionate group of experts and disruptors of the system intent on combatting the rising cost and lack of accessibility of American healthcare while also building the industry's most diverse and dynamic place to work. In 2022, Nava was proudly ranked on the Inc. Best Workplaces list and NYC Digital Health 100.

🚀 About the Role

We’re hiring a Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Benefits Analyst to support overflow project work across our Large Group Client Success teams. Spanish fluency is required for this role, as some deliverables and communications may need to be prepared in both English and Spanish. This is a 6-month, full-time contract role (40 hours/week) with the potential for extension. The role is remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

This position will focus on tactical, behind-the-scenes project work. No direct client ownership or client-facing meetings. It’s a great opportunity for someone who thrives on detail-oriented work and is comfortable with a contractor setup.

🚀 What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll provide surge capacity and project support to help our team deliver exceptional results during a busy season. Key responsibilities include:

  • Build renewal workbooks, perform spreadsheeting and data validation

  • Draft benefit communications (in English and Spanish) and support compliance-related documentation (e.g., ERISA Wrap documents)

  • Conduct peer reviews and quality checks for internal deliverables

  • Assist in benchmarking, plan design analysis, and rate modeling

  • Support the preparation of open enrollment materials and benefits communications in English and Spanish

  • Completing ad hoc benefits projects across the team as needed

🚀 Who will thrive in this role

  • You are fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong written communication skills in both languages
  • You enjoy structured project work and thrive in roles that require precision and attention to detail

  • You’re comfortable operating independently while managing multiple priorities

  • You like being the go-to person behind the scenes who helps power great work

  • You’re familiar with brokerage operations and benefits deliverables

🚀 What you’ll bring

  • 3–10 years of experience in a benefits analyst, account manager or similar role within a benefits brokerage or consulting environment required

  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
  • Familiarity with large group plans (100–5,000 MELs), California and New York market experience a plus

  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to work comfortably in Google Suite

  • Experience drafting benefits-related documents such as SPD/SBCs, ERISA Wraps, and enrollment materials in both languages

  • Understanding of financial structures such as fully insured, level-funded, self-funded, and captive plans

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through

  • Availability to commit to a full-time (40-hour/week) contract position

🚀 Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension

  • Hours: 40 hours/week

  • Location: Fully remote, US-based

  • Status: Contractor (1099)

  • Pay Rate: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
