The CPA Accountant, will participate in a wide range of operational tasks, including reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reporting and the ATO Compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly
  • Manage Various Park & Village Budgets
  • Accounts Payables
  • Accounts Receivables
  • Process weekly payroll
  • BAS lodgment for all entities
  • Superannuation lodgment
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and monthly management reports
  • Monitor cash flow
  • Manage employee reimbursements
  • Month-end and year-end closing, including all aspects of the accounting process (journal entries and accruals).
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Maintain fixed asset registers
  • Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and support external audits
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for tax, audit, and statutory purposes
  • Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance efficiency
  • Support the CEO in ad hoc analysis and projects

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CA/CPA accredited professional
  • 3 years + experience in similar role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Xero
  • Payroll Experience - advantageous
  • Ability to manage a small team
  • Must have Australian Experience
