SUMMARY
The VitalSolution Senior Director of Recruiting is a visionary leader responsible for shaping and executing talent acquisition strategies for one or more service lines that align with the organization’s long-term business objectives. This role oversees the full lifecycle of recruitment operations, leading a high-performing team of recruiting leaders and professionals while driving innovation, operational excellence, and best-in-class candidate experience.
As a key member of the senior leadership recruiting team, the Senior Director partners closely with key stakeholders across departments to forecast talent needs, influence workforce planning, and ensure the organization attracts, engages, and retains top-tier talent in a competitive market. This role is accountable for building scalable recruiting infrastructure, leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making, and fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and execute enterprise-wide recruiting strategies to achieve fill rate targets, optimize budgeted FTE goals, and support long-term workforce planning.
- Build and lead a high-performing, strategically aligned recruiting organization, ensuring the team is composed of engaged, results-driven professionals with the capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
- Monitor performance trends and proactively address variances through data-driven insights, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Clinical Operations, Physician Leadership, Business Operations and other functions to develop integrated talent solutions that address hospital provider staffing needs and support client satisfaction.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and development, providing strategic mentorship, training, and coaching to elevate recruiter effectiveness and career growth.
- Establish and communicate clear performance expectations, including individual and team KPIs, and hold leaders accountable for achieving operational and strategic goals.
- Partner with Sales and client stakeholders during the business development process to assess talent requirements, co-create staffing solutions, and ensure seamless fulfillment execution.
- Serve as a key voice in departmental and executive meetings, providing insights, updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Oversee the integrity and optimization of recruiter databases and candidate pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, engagement, and alignment with placement goals.
- Ensure quality and consistency in candidate and client communications, leveraging call reviews and feedback loops to drive service excellence.
- Lead the dissemination and strategic alignment of compensation structures, including pay rates, bonuses, and agreements, to meet gross margin and profitability targets.
- Resolve escalated provider and client issues with professionalism and urgency, engaging HR, Payroll, and Legal as needed to ensure consistent and compliant outcomes.
- Own the talent lifecycle for the recruiting function, including workforce planning, hiring, performance management, and succession planning in partnership with HR.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment, efficiency, and service quality across the organization.
- Travel as needed to support team development, client engagement, and strategic initiatives.
- Perform additional executive-level duties assigned by senior leadership.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition or staffing, including 5+ years in a senior leadership or multi-team management role; healthcare staffing experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale recruiting operations, workforce planning, and aligning talent strategies with organizational goals.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders, drive cross-functional collaboration, and lead through change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong command of recruitment metrics, forecasting, and performance optimization.
- Outstanding communication and executive presence, with the ability to present to senior leadership and external partners with clarity and confidence.
- Strong emotional intelligence and leadership acumen, with a track record of building high-performing, engaged, and inclusive teams.
- Proficiency in recruiting technologies and platforms, including ATS, CRM systems, and data analytics tools; advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).

- Ability to use manual dexterity, visual acuity and hearing acuity to effectively use and operate office related equipment such as but not limited to a computer, copier, scanner, camera, phone, phone, headset, keyboard and mouse.

Compensation Range
$132,960.00 - $166,200.00
