At Pennylane, we are reinventing how companies manage their finances - and that means striving for operational excellence and transforming our internal processes.
We are looking for an experienced People Analytics & Projects Specialist to join our People & Ops team and play a key role in structuring, analyzing, and optimizing our operations — well beyond traditional HR analytics.
You will report to the Head of People Operations and work closely with People, Finance, and business leadership teams in a true cross-functional business partner role.
Your responsibilities
- Shape and drive the internal operations data strategy (People, Finance, Ops), ensuring data reliability, consistency, and value-added exploitation
- Act as a data steward for all HR-related data: structure, maintain, and ensure the quality and integrity of people data across all HR systems and processes
- Lead or support the implementation and optimization of HRIS processes, workflows, and data flows (e.g., onboarding, off-boarding, organizational changes, internationalization, etc.), collaborating with stakeholders to ensure robust and scalable solutions
- Design and deploy advanced dashboards and analyses to support strategic decision-making (organizational structure, headcount, international growth, operational performance, etc.)
- Challenge existing processes, identify optimization opportunities, and propose and implement data-driven or automated solutions
- Own recurring and ad hoc reporting for leadership teams: headcount, mobility, performance, compensation, compliance, etc. (including legally required reporting such as BDESE, Gender Equality Index, and more)
- Work closely with TA, HRBP and Dev teams to align our internal practices with best-in-class data/ops standards (data governance, data quality, automation)
- Foster a data-driven culture within the People & Ops teams
Your environment & tools
- Lucca (HRIS), Reflect (analytics), Figures (compensation benchmarking and salary review tool)
- Google Sheets / Excel (advanced)
- Potential to leverage other BI/data tools as needed (Looker, Tableau, SQL, etc.)
Why this role matters at Pennylane
- Broad autonomy over data/ops topics, with real latitude to challenge the status quo and innovate
- Company culture focused on ownership, transparency, and operational efficiency
- You will be the go-to person for data/ops within the People function, with the opportunity to upskill the team on these topics
Who we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience in data/ops, business intelligence, or transformation consulting (ideally in a tech, scale-up, or consulting environment)
- Strong data-driven mindset, with a passion for analysis, automation, and continuous process improvement
- Experience managing cross-functional projects, interfacing with diverse teams
- Advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, data visualization tools, and databases
- Experience with HRIS tools and the implementation or optimization of HR processes is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working with complex datasets, structuring reporting, and delivering analysis to varied audiences
- Rigorous, autonomous, and able to quickly ramp up on new topics (not necessarily an HR background)
- Fluent in French and English
This position can be based from our office in Paris or fully-remote from anywhere in France

- Screening call with Nathalie - Business Recruiter (30min, in visio)
- An interview with our Marine - VP People (1h, in visio)
