We’re looking for a People Business Partner to own the culture of a critical piece of the business, our B2B2C revenue teams. It’s a tough role because revenue is tough. How do you get a high performing team performing a quantum lever higher? How do you connect people in a role that can sometimes be very solitary? How do you get to know people so well that you can guide leaders on how to keep them motivated, support their growth, and handle problems before they start?
In this role, you’ll be a team with the department heads and their talent partners building the Nivoda we know we can be. This is a cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate closely with leadership to design programs, systems, and practices that foster growth. You’ll work directly with the VP of People to help guide our people initiatives and drive success within the team.
You’ll be responsible for building out operational excellence in areas like organisational development, change management, performance enablement, and leadership coaching, while also ensuring the implementation and adherence to HR best practices and policies. You will also serve as the HR subject matter expert for South Africa for all roles in Nivoda, constantly developing your knowledge of the local laws and practices.
Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, with a focus on optimising team dynamics and fostering a high-performance culture.
Deliver proactive, high-impact support to our Revenue teams, ensuring alignment with HR best practices and policies across the business.
Manage local HR legal compliance in South Africa.
Shape and implement programs focused on talent development, performance management, feedback, and career growth, while ensuring they are aligned with organisational goals and designed for long-term success.
Support managers in leading through change, resolving challenges, and developing their leadership skills, ensuring they are equipped to drive team performance and engagement.
Partner with functional heads to drive organisational design, workforce planning, and team health, ensuring these initiatives align with the evolving needs of the business and foster an inclusive, high-performing environment.
Proven experience in senior HR or People Operations roles, ideally within high-growth or global environments.
Strong background partnering with Revenue functions (Sales and Marketing) for a B2B or B2B2C business, especially in an office environment.
A strong understanding of South Africa compliance and risk management.
Skilled in coaching, conflict resolution, and organisational design.
Someone who brings clarity in complexity and energy in ambiguity.
Deep belief in people, backed by the ability to make sound business decisions.
Expertise in fast moving, ever changing start up environments.
Background in supporting business transformation or post-series scaling.
Comfort working with distributed teams.
