Account Executive — Web Development Services
Remote · Full-time · Reports to the CEO
The Account Executive is tasked with acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships for a fast-growing web-development studio. Working closely with solution architects, the individual translates business goals into technically sound project proposals and steers each opportunity from first conversation through contract signature.
The role begins with targeted outreach to digital-first brands that need custom websites, migrations, or web-app builds. Discovery calls uncover pain points, after which the Account Executive frames scope and budget in language that resonates with both marketing leadership and engineering stakeholders. Internal designers and developers join scoping sessions only after the Account Executive has defined a clear problem statement and timeline. Pipeline data lives in HubSpot; forecasts are updated weekly and reviewed with the Head of Growth. Once projects kick off, the Account Executive stays involved long enough to secure smooth hand-offs and identify expansion opportunities such as feature add-ons or support retainers.
A minimum of three years carrying quota at a web-development agency is essential; closed deals of USD 100 K or more demonstrate the necessary credibility. Fluency in core WebDev concepts—responsive design, CMS migrations, headless builds, performance optimization, and CI/CD workflows—allows the individual to converse confidently with CTOs while still speaking plainly to non-technical buyers. Proven command of a modern CRM (HubSpot preferred) and crisp written and verbal communication complete the baseline profile.
Familiarity with stacks such as React, Next.js, or Laravel, plus an understanding of agile delivery rhythms, will help set accurate expectations and shorten sales cycles. A network in industries that prize scalable web platforms—e-commerce, SaaS, fintech—offers a strong advantage.
Within six months, the Account Executive is expected to close at least two new web-development projects totaling USD 250 K and to grow one existing client by 20 percent. Forecast accuracy should remain above 90 percent, and pipeline hygiene must meet the studio’s data standards.
Professionals who have already excelled in selling WebDev agency services and who thrive on turning technical capabilities into clear business value are encouraged to apply.
