About the role:
Planful is looking for an Alliances Manager to establish and grow a strong alliances and partnerships network across Germany and the broader DACH region.
Reporting to our Senior Director of Global Partnerships, you will focus on supporting our technology alliances. You’ll collaborate closely with partners to proactively develop, manage, and strengthen strategic relationships that deliver mutual value, ensuring our joint customers benefit from powerful, integrated solutions. We are seeking an experienced professional who brings a structured, relationship-driven approach and a deep understanding of the DACH business culture. You will have the opportunity to grow into a trusted advisor and Planful expert in the region, helping to shape how we go to market with our partners and enabling sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
- Accelerate growth by designing and executing strategies that build and expand Planful-focused practices within our partner network.
- Lead efforts to scale our technology alliance ecosystem in the DACH region, while optimizing collaboration and delivery with both current and prospective partners.
- Identify and qualify greenfield opportunities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland that align with our regional alliances strategy and technology ecosystem.
- Collaborate with alliance partners to identify areas where Planful solutions complement and enhance their offerings, driving joint success.
- Strengthen Planful’s presence in the regional partner ecosystem by articulating a compelling “better together” joint value proposition tailored for DACH customers.
- Demonstrate deep product and domain knowledge of Planful’s platform and the wider EPM/FP&A landscape in the region.
- Co-develop strategic, co-innovation roadmaps with key partners, aligned to regional market needs.
- Ensure clear, structured feedback loops between partners and Planful’s product and engineering teams, acting as a strong regional voice.
- Document technical solution proposals, use cases, and reference architectures that reflect DACH market expectations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Planful’s Tech Alliances Go-To-Market Strategy, localized for DACH priorities and norms.
What you Bring to the Table
Required:
- 5–7 years of experience in alliances, partner management, or consulting within a B2B SaaS or enterprise technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of the DACH region, with a professional communication style and understanding of local business etiquette.
- Fluent in German.
- Proven track record of managing high-impact strategic partnerships with measurable commercial outcomes.
- Ability to operate effectively across international time zones, particularly in collaboration with North America-based colleagues.
- Strong commercial insight and the ability to communicate compelling joint solutions tailored for regional audiences.
- Confident working independently and navigating ambiguity in a dynamic, remote-first workplace.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English, including the ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders.
- Highly structured, self-driven, and adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Background in consulting or in-house partnerships role at an EPM/FP&A company, ideally within the DACH region.
- Experience in building a partner ecosystem at a scale-up or high-growth SaaS company.
- Familiarity with partner sales motions and experience in co-selling within alliance frameworks.
- Comfort with technical solutioning and involvement in co-innovation or joint go-to-market planning.

Pay Transparency Statement
