POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Products is part of the team that helps to plan, co-design, and execute global programs (in-person and hybrid) within the products department including global learning, forum, and communities. This individual partners with top content providers and top higher education institutions and vendors, develops and executes virtual programs (such as Nano Learning, Powerhouse speakers series), and forum events among other initiatives.
This team member adds value by acquiring and overseeing programs from start to finish including negotiating with vendors, advocating and negotiating new partnerships, prepping speakers, HEI and service providers for our unique audience, seeing tailor-made executive education programs through to execution, and conducting needs assessments for providing training opportunities according to member challenges.
Staying cool under stress and pressure, delivering on deadlines, demonstrating agility, creative thinking, a can- do attitude, global mindset, and a thirst for continual learning are all musts. The Products Manager liaises with various member teams to deliver on action plans and works cooperatively with learning colleagues for a range of Products initiatives from live to virtual events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Program Management
- Manage assigned products and programs from needs assessment to execution and evaluation.
- Evaluate learning, forum, and community programs across the world, conducts RFPs, and manage the vendor selection process.
- Serve as product owner and event organizer requiring oversight of product data, financial records, marketing, etc.
- Liaise with the products team and products portfolio to gather stakeholder input and adjust product delivery according to plan and budget. Co-design tailor-made programs that fit our members' needs and provide input to curriculum delivery including agenda, content, and speakers. Conduct site visits as necessary.
- Negotiate partnerships with Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and content providers (including international speakers and speaker bureaus).
- Market products to users. Oversee registrations and member inquiries.
- Evaluate programs, conduct program debriefing, suggest program improvements and implement changes.
- Track program analytics and reports.
- Maintain an active learning component, including competitor analyses, new learning technologies, and best practices across the industry; as well as being knowledgeable of future trends in the learning industry.
Virtual Learning
- Plan and produce NanoLearning series from start to finish: curate and contract speakers and video vendors, project management, provide video editing feedback
- Produce new contents for the LMS as needed
- Manage the LMS and Products video content
Portfolio Work
- Align with Portfolio Marketing initiatives and participate in developing the product journey and product archetypes
- Liaise with analysis teams to provide support and insights for quarterly and annual reports and product reviews.
- Oversee all program process documentation to create consistency across all learning and portfolio products.
- Participates in the Products Portfolio projects and meetings as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with adult learning, event, instructional design, project management, contract negotiation, and associations all pluses.
- Must have strong ability to work in teams with high accountability, willingness to work with ease across cultures, geographies, and time zones, and strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in a second language and international experience are all pluses.
- Exceptionally strong organizational and time management skills required.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestic and cross borders.
