Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Governance Contractor for a 1 year contract with our Healthcare client in Eagan, MN. Role is remote. 

Summary: 
Enterprise initiative to replace current on-prem ERP instance with a cloud-based solution. Three main workstreams (that Data Governance resource will work across) – Record to Report, Billing/AR, & Procure to Pay.

NOT looking for a DG strategist... this is someone who will have boots on the ground and will need to align with our current strategy.  Technical understanding and aptitude are great but want to note this role will be business oriented.

Responsibilities: 
Project scope includes:
  • General Ledger
  • Financial Reporting
  • Fixed Assets
  • Accounts Payable
  • Cash Management
  • Accounts Receivable/Billing
  • Procurement
  • Leased Assets
  • Financial Planning and Analytics
  • Master Data Management
  • Vendor
  • Product
  • Subledger with capabilities for handling large volumes of data from multiple sources with feeds to GL, AR, and/or AP
Gaps Identified:
  • Naming standards/conventions – currently no common language to describe the same thing
  • No current Master Data Management solution for Vendor & Product
  • Need for Enterprise Product Definitions
  • Lacking standardization around enterprise financial metrics
  • Unknowns around financial reporting strategy and where backend data will be stored
  • Limited line of sight into how security will be implemented and maintained across modules
  • Need for data quality checks and remediation
  • Current pain point of inconsistency with transaction granularity
  • Limited visibility into data lineage and where the data they are using is being sourced from and what transformations are occurring
  • Go-live date is TBD
  • Design workshop dates/next steps TBD
  • Unknowns of how ecosystem will receive data and how / where will data be pushed
Qualifications: 
  • Background with Data Governance as it relates to finance
  • A go-getter who needs little direction to get themselves embedded in a project (evident we will have to ensure we have a seat at the table) and a holistic view across the project and other projects impacting this one
  • Ability to take complex landscapes and ensure alignment and standardization across systems
  • Personable and can quickly show value of data governance
  • Understand and help plan how all of this work will get integrated into Enterprise Data Governance Tool & promote usage (identify Data Owners/Data Stewards and establish working committees to curate terminology)
Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay rate $50-$55/Hr. 
We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
