The Prospecting Specialist is responsible for driving new business growth within the Food Processing, Manufacturing and Safety Industries. The Prospecting Specialist will also bring in new business from prospects or leads, as well as develop new customer relationships. This role will be required to drive net new business opportunities into the organization which will then transition over to existing inside sales territories. This will require collaborative cross functional business acumen. A successful candidate will be an experienced sales professional with documented experience of business development, lead generation or cold calling who is comfortable having conversations and developing relationships with new business contacts. The Solution Specialist reports directly to the Sales Director – Natural Toxins/Food Quality/Nutritional Analysis and is responsible for progressing the increase of sales of within two super class portfolios at Neogen (Megazyme & Mycotoxins). The focus of the prospecting and lead generation role will be to grow and support the food quality, nutritional analysis, and natural toxin products at Neogen.
