In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to source prototype parts at competitive costs. Your expertise in supplier management will be essential for developing data-driven strategies and building strong supplier relationships within a dynamic and challenging environment. A key responsibility will be processing and expediting purchase orders to procure the materials and tools required to all builds.
Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams to have components on time for future programs.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
Issue, analyze and evaluate requests for quotation because of customer requisition.
Secure prototype pricing (multiplier) in commercial agreements and contracts.
Place prototype orders and tool Orders, tracking the open ones and verifying the correct payment to suppliers.
Review pricing and opportunities for business savings through analyzing Prototype Cost Breakdowns.
Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
Build positive relationships with the supply base acting like a partner, trusting and being trustworthy, being fact based and communication consistency.
Ensure suppliers' adherence to Prototype Procedures.
Ensure timely responses from suppliers.
Follow up for new suppliers on boarding process.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering degree (Desirable).
2 days on site per week. (GTBC Ford México)
Strong written and oral communication skills (both Spanish and English)
Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills
Negotiation skills (even in a position of limited leverage)
Must be a self-starter/motivated and be able to work both independently as well as a team setting
Strong analytical skills
