Key responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close responsibilities and prepare month-end reporting packages for management review.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all reporting requirements and oversee audit, bank, and tax compliance.
  • Lead vendor negotiations and manage cash management and payroll processing functions.

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and treasury functions.
  • Perform month end close responsibilities such as posting of journal entries , preparation of prepaid and accrual schedules and overall review 
  • Conduct account analysis and month end balance sheet reconciliations and schedules
  • Prepare month end reporting package for management review.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements (state, 401K, banking, etc) are completed timely and accurately and submitted within deadlines established.
  • Oversee all audit, bank, and tax compliance (ex. Tax returns, 401K calculations and bank reporting, etc )
  • Lead vendor negotiations and management
  • Cash management/ treasury function
  • Perform payroll processing and related benefits reporting
  • Propose and implement accounting systems and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and theories
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization


Requirements
  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of recent and relevant accounting supervisory or management experience
  •  Knowledgeable on US GAAP
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Concur and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • High level of mental acuity
  • Familiarity with Bill Pay and Paychex is a big plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with strong ethical standards
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
