This position leads the specialty operations team in clinical quality initiatives and drives on identified outcomes. This position provides leadership and direction to ensure safe, therapeutic and ethical patient care while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.   

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees the DaVita IKC specialty operations team for IKC commercial lane

  • Ensures compliance to all applicable regulations and DaVita policies

  • Monitors risk management and quality assurance compliance   

  • Measures patient care outcomes relevant to the specialty operations lane

  • Meets financial goals established for membership enrollment specific to the specialty operations lane

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with teams.

  • Actively participates with cross-functional teams to drive on specialty initiatives

  • Coordinates activities with DaVita IKC management team, providers and cross-functional departments, and others as needed

  • Maintains and manages relationships with key constituencies, including providers and health plans    

  • Creates a special place for teammates.

  • Supports leadership in the development and expansion of initiatives to innovate around complex patient management.

  • Serves as clinical SME on projects and initiatives where specialty operations is key to innovation success.  

  • Identifies opportunities for development and expansion of enhanced or new services

  • Other duties as assigned


Education:

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor of Science Nursing or Master’s Degree in Social Work preferred

  • Active Licensed Clinical Social worker or Licensed Professional Nurse with no disciplinary action required

  • Clinical practice experience a minimum of 5 years in: Palliative care/hospice care or Renal care experience preferred

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook required

  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment preferred

  • Certification in: Case Management (CCM), Nephrology Social Work (NSW-C) , Nephrology Nursing (CNN) preferred

  • Up to 25% travel

Salary/ Wage Range

$100,000.00 - $147,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
