We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager with 15+ years of experience in managing global payroll operations for Numerator. This role requires a deep understanding of international payroll processes, compliance requirements, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end global payroll processing across 40+ countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws and regulations.
Lead and oversee relationships with external payroll vendors and local providers; monitor service levels and escalate issues as needed.
Partner with Finance, HR, Legal, and local teams to ensure seamless data flow and resolution of payroll-related issues.
Ensure compliance with global tax regulations, social security contributions, and statutory reporting.
Review and approve payroll inputs, calculations, reconciliations, and funding instructions.
Maintain and improve internal controls and payroll policies to reduce risk and ensure audit readiness.
Support month end, quarter end year-end activities including tax reporting, audits, and reconciliations.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline payroll operations.
Stay current with changes in global payroll legislation and ensure timely adaptation.
Lead payroll projects, including onboarding of new countries, acquisitions, and system implementations.
What You'll Bring to Numerator
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, GPA) preferred.
Minimum 15+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years managing global payrolls.
Proven experience handling payroll in multiple countries (ideally 25+), including APAC, EMEA, and Americas regions.
Experienced in managing and mentoring a diverse team of 20+ employees.
Strong knowledge of global tax, compliance, and labor regulations.
Experience working with global payroll platforms and HRIS systems like ADP, Workday.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with teams across time zones and cultures.
Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and payroll system integrations a plus
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a multinational or high-growth company.
Project management or process improvement experience (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
