We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Global Accounts Payable (AP) Manager with over 15+ years of experience in leading AP functions within the IT/ITES industry. This role will be responsible for managing high-volume, multi-entity, multi-currency AP operations across geographies while ensuring compliance, process efficiency, and timely vendor payments.
The ideal candidate should be well-versed in global AP practices, automation tools, and finance systems common to tech-driven companies. A strong focus on controls, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement is key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the global Accounts Payable function, overseeing invoice processing, vendor payments, expense reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX controls, and country-specific tax and regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT, GST, withholding tax).
Manage AP operations across multiple countries, currencies, and time zones, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
Oversee vendor onboarding, maintenance, and relationship management.
Monitor and manage AP aging reports, ensuring resolution of outstanding items and adherence to payment terms.
Partner with Procurement, Treasury, and accounting teams to optimize Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
Drive automation and system improvements to enhance AP efficiency and scalability.
Manage month-end and year-end AP close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and audit support.
Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of 20+ AP professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external auditors regarding AP matters.
What You'll Bring to Numerator
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
15+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with a minimum of 5 years in a global leadership role.
Strong knowledge of international AP processes, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP) and AP automation tools (e.g., Coupa, Tipalti, Basware, Quadient).
Proven track record of managing high-volume, multi-currency AP operations across regions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to drive process improvements, standardization, and operational excellence in a global setting.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a multinational or high-growth organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with finance transformation initiatives, including system implementations or shared service transitions.
Familiarity with tools like Concur, or Power BI for reporting and analysis would be plus.
