Job description

Location Details: United States - Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

The Director of Business Development will develop and implement strategic partnerships to improve revenue growth, expand market share, and build strategic on-ramps for the business. This role requires a deep understanding of the steps entrepreneurs and small businesses take to set up their business, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in business development.

What you'll get to do...

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives, including market analysis, partnership development, and revenue growth
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives, including partner engagement
  • Establish key performance indicators to measure success, analyze performance data, and make informed decisions to optimize business development efforts
  • Manage the business development budget effectively, allocating resources to improve return on investment

Your experience should include...

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on the domain and website industry, or jobs-to-be-done for starting a business
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets and driving business growth
  • Strong understanding of the fine differences that make a partnership successful or a failure
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
