Role Overview:

This will be a part-time internship (10–20 hrs/week). As an Intern, Social Media, you support the social media team by creating compelling short-form content that brings the story of the trades to life across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You work behind and in front of the camera to develop content that inspires, entertains, and educates while aligning with brand campaigns and community initiatives like Champion the Trades.

You are a natural content creator who understands what performs on social and how to keep an audience engaged. Your creativity and passion for storytelling help shape our brand voice and build a vibrant, authentic online presence. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are eager to create with purpose.

What you do each day:

  • Film and edit short-form video content using mobile-friendly tools (i.e. CapCut, Instagram/TikTok tools)
  • Pitch and produce 1–2 engaging videos per week tied to trends, campaigns, or key brand messages
  • Contribute to the content calendar and shape social strategy with storytelling, education, and entertainment
  • Monitor and apply trending audio, formats, and viral concepts to fit our brand voice
  • Track content performance and provide insights on what’s resonating
  • Help manage community interactions including comments, direct messages, and live sessions
  • Collaborate with industry influencers to produce co-branded video content
  • Support @championthetrades channel growth through engaging and authentic storytelling
  • Assist in campaign planning, customer spotlights, and brand events

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, media, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Comfortable being on camera and have experience filming or speaking to your phone
  • Deep familiarity with social platforms and current trends (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts)
  • Able to shoot and edit video content using mobile apps or native platform tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, proactive, and adaptable to new tasks and tools

Location Dependent Information

This role is open to candidates and the expected hourly range for this role is $18-$20/hour. The specific hourly range for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. Housecall Pro is growing fast and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
