Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Operations for the growing Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Visualization Solutions. Our team is at the forefront of defining, designing, and building the next generation of Visualization Solutions for Forma industry cloud and Graphics Capabilities for Autodesk as a whole.

As a strategic partner, you will define and manage the rhythm of the organization and coordinate business objectives & key results. Your influence, initiative, creativity, and resolve will ensure the team is well positioned to execute our vision. Your role will be both strategic and tactical, and the results of your work will immediately influence the organization and operation of our teams. In this role, you will also manage the organization’s program managers. You will report to the Senior Director of AEC Visualization Solutions. This position can be fully remote, hybrid, or onsite with a preference to the Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities

  • Distill and synthesize strategic discussions into discernible, executable plans: Enable rigorous discussion while providing the connection points between strategic ideas

  • Manage AEC Visualization Solutions leadership meetings: Plan and facilitate meetings and offsites, including formulating the topics to cover, building and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate

  • Act as an advisor and a sounding board to the AEC Visualization Solution leadership on strategy, team effectiveness, and operations

  • Work with leadership to define goals to combine relevant plans and metrics to track initiative progress

  • Promote operational improvements that create a more efficient organization in delivering global solutions that delight Autodesk customers

  • Champion and lead efforts to improve organizational effectiveness and help make Autodesk and this team a great place to work

  • Establish and manage regular operational reviews and performance dashboards, where the team can examine how we run the business, the quality of our services, and the customer experience

  • Manage communications on behalf of AEC Platform Visualization Solutions leadership, distilling and communicating important messages to extended teams and collaborators across the company

  • Be a sounding board on strategy, team effectiveness, and operations

  • Help think through complex, cross-organizational challenges

  • Lead technical programs and strategic initiatives that cut across organizational boundaries

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in an Operations or Chief of Staff position, preferably in a high-tech environment

  • Record of execution of complex programs across organizational boundaries with both business and technical stakeholders

  • Track record of ensuring accountability and results; ability to steer leaders and constituents towards decisions

  • Strong business acumen, consultative skills, critical thinking, problem solving, facilitation, and organizational skills

  • Excellent relationship building, influencing, and communication skills with all levels of management and employees

  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity, and distilling to executable actions

  • Excellent writer, with the skills to distill complex content into clear, concise and engaging communications, and able to write with speed and accuracy

  • Strategic and creative thinker comfortable debating and defending ideas

  • Strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives and presentations in support of our business strategies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has served in a technical program management role, or a role requiring similar experiences and skills

  • Has demonstrated the ability to quickly build strong relationships and networks and is able to work well with different personality types and multiple levels in a dynamic environment

  • Is an excellent and persuasive communicator with exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Has the ability to foster an atmosphere of collaboration and partnership across the organization 

  • Manage conversations, synthesizing multiple points of view, and aligning on direction all in an impartial and professional way 

  • Is an energetic and detailed-oriented leader who can effectively manage and empower people to achieve results 

  • Have a strong work ethic, a commitment to clear goals and measurable outcomes, an ability to learn quickly and work well in teams

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $143,000 and $231,220. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
