Position Overview:
The National Brand Experience Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the overall brand experience strategy across North America. This senior leadership position oversees a team of Regional Brand Managers and Brand Experience Experts to ensure consistent, high-quality brand representation across all consumer touchpoints. The role requires strategic vision combined with operational excellence to drive meaningful connections between our brands and consumers through innovative field activations, retail partnerships, and experiential marketing initiatives. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product development, and retail operations to align brand experience activities with broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Summary:
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Develop and execute the comprehensive brand experience strategy for North America
- Lead and mentor a team of Regional Brand Managers and Brand Experience Experts
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs for the brand experience team
- Implement coaching and development programs to enhance team capabilities
- Conduct regular performance reviews and career development planning
- Manage department budget and resource allocation
Brand Experience Program Development
- Create innovative brand activation programs that drive consumer engagement
- Develop standardized field activation protocols and best practices
- Design immersive product demonstrations and fitting experiences
- Establish territory-specific strategies based on market analysis
- Integrate digital and physical brand experiences for omnichannel engagement
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure brand consistency while allowing for regional adaptation
Retail & Channel Strategy
- Develop strategic partnerships with key national retail accounts
- Create comprehensive retail staff training and certification programs
- Design premium merchandising systems and retail experience guidelines
- Establish green grass channel development strategy for golf club engagement
- Oversee implementation of pro shop optimization programs
- Build relationships with national retail buyers and decision-makers
Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence
- Establish systems for collecting and analyzing field data and consumer feedback
- Develop reporting frameworks for market trends and competitive analysis
- Present consumer insights to product development and marketing teams
- Identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats in the marketplace
- Leverage data to inform strategic decisions and program development
- Create ongoing territory analysis and market opportunity reports
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align brand experience with advertising campaigns
- Partner with product development on consumer testing and feedback programs
- Work with sales leadership to support key account objectives
- Coordinate with operations on inventory and supply chain optimization
- Consult with legal and compliance on promotional activities and partnerships
- Participate in senior leadership planning and strategy development
Program Measurement & Optimization
- Develop ROI measurement systems for brand experience initiatives
- Create reporting dashboards for field activities and consumer engagement
- Establish benchmarks and performance targets for team activities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data
- Present quarterly performance reviews to executive leadership
- Identify scaling opportunities for successful programs
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in golf related brand management, experiential marketing, or related field
- 3+ years of people management experience, preferably managing field teams
- Demonstrated success in developing training programs and executing consumer focused field activations
- Understanding of golf industry and equipment technology
- Experience supporting national accounts and retail partnerships
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 30% of time
