Job description

Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for an IMIT Director to contribute as part of the leadership team to the strategies and operational plans consistent with legislation, accountability frameworks, and the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of the province. The Director fosters collaborative environments that optimize care provision through standardization and use of technologies.

Required skills:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and 10+ years progressive leadership experience

• Master’s degree an asset, particularly in health administration, informatics, leadership, or business administration

• Certified Health Executive and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire

• IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or organizational change management certification an asset

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ progressive leadership positions in health care in addition to having clinically related practice or clinical application experience

• Experience as a strategic leader within a complex organization, enabling change and leading transformational projects and providing strategic advice to senior management

• Experience in working with patient care leaders and staff across a large organization is an asset

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines

• Experience in engaging, mentoring, and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives an organization

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with ability to interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks

• Strong interpersonal skills with high level of competence in both written and verbal communication

• Understanding of clinical systems, IT tools and processes

• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
