We are seeking a results-driven Director of Brokerage to lead our brokerage team, drive advisor acquisition, and optimize performance across our brokerage network. This role will directly impact the growth and success of our brokerage division by managing and mentoring Brokerage Managers, ensuring quality control among the brokerage team, ensuring all SLAs are met, working with the CDO on various projects, and, and leveraging industry relationships to expand our advisor network. Success in this role requires a blend of strategic leadership, operational expertise, and a hunter mentality to identify and seize growth opportunities.
What You'll Do:
Own and drive brokerage quotas, ensuring Brokerage Managers meet or exceed targets for case placement, lead generation and conversion metrics.
Conduct weekly 1:1s with BMs to coach, develop, and hold them accountable for growth in their books of business.
Analyze HubSpot call metrics and AMS (Agency Management System) data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing BMs to expand the team’s capacity.
Oversee carrier commission rate negotiations, onboarding, and settings to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Transition full ownership of carrier commission structures to the brokerage team within the first year.
Leverage your existing network to generate high-quality leads for BMs, focusing on mid-to-large national accounts (RIAs, small BDs, institutions).
Serve as the primary point of contact for brokerage-related concerns, troubleshooting complex cases as needed.
Drive advisor recruitment by building trust with high-net-worth advisors and understanding their needs.
About You
10+ years in brokerage, wealth management, or financial services, with 5+ years in People Management
Proven track record in business development, sales negotiation, and recruiting advisors/Brokerage Managers.
Deep understanding of carrier products, underwriting, case design, commission structures, and the independent brokerage space.
Familiarity with Broker-Dealers (BDs), RIAs, and the high-net-worth advisor market.
Hunter mentality: Relentless focus on acquiring new advisors and expanding relationships.
