Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Women’s Health (Tier 3) / VA Reviewer for a remote contract opportunity supporting a non-profit organization. This role involves reviewing VA cases within the Women's Health specialty and providing clinical expertise through detailed audits and medical advisory opinions.

Responsibilities

Facility Requested Reviews (FRRs):

  • Standardized questions focused on timeliness and appropriateness of care
  • Approximately 1 hour per review

Management/Other Cases:

  • Based on a variety of performance indicators
  • Non-standardized questions
  • Approximately 1 hour per case

Medical Advisory Opinions (MAOs):

  • Initiated from patient complaints or legal inquiries
  • Requires in-depth analysis and narrative responses
  • Typically takes 2–4 hours per case

Requirements
  • Current, non-restricted RN license in a U.S. state or territory
  • Minimum of 5 years of active clinical practice in Women’s Health
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent specialty-specific experience
  • Must work at least 20 clinical hours per month in Women’s Health
  • Must maintain active clinical practice
  • Board certification in specialty required

Benefits

Compensation
  • FRRs (Facility Requested Reviews): $95/case
  • MAOs (Medical Advisory Opinions): $225/case
  • One-time PIV Card Fee: $150 upon completion
  • Note: Training time is not compensated
